I am an experienced registered nurse currently working within a General Practice Surgery as a Practice nurse. My duties cover all aspects of GP practice nursing including, ECG monitoring, cervical smears, clip/suture removal, blood pressure monitoring, immunisations, vaccinations and diabetes.

I have career experience in both secondary and primary care.

Prior to working as a practice nurse I worked in a Nursing Care Home as Head of the dementia unit and deputy manager. This role involved the management of staff on the units in the home. Carrying out weekly/monthly audits, looking at medication/risk assessments/documentation/infection control. Also delivering training in Dementia care/moving and handling/infection control and safeguarding to all members of staff on a monthly basis. Dealing with any complaints/investigations in the home.

In addition to my current clinical role I provide expert witness nursing reports for the Court on care and nursing breach of duty. The areas I have experience in include:

In 2017 I completed a diploma in Diabetes at Warwick University.

I attend regular training events and seminars in order to maintain my professional development.
