I am an Occupational Therapist with 19 years post qualification experience.

I have practical experience of working with individuals who have a wide variety of complex physical and psychological disabilities.

My experience has been gained from working for 18 years within local authority Adult Social Care departments.

I have specialist clinical knowledge relating to multiple sclerosis and worked for a number of years assessing and supporting individuals and their carers to restore and / maintain independence including advice on major home adaptations and facilitating the provision of aids and equipment.

Since 2019 I have worked as an independent Occupational Therapist in private practice. My role includes private Occupational Therapy assessments. I also facilitate manual handling and basic equipment course for both local equipment providers, care agencies and schools and carry out equipment audits in care homes to determine suitability of equipment.

My areas of expertise include:

  •  Aids and Equipment
  • Manual Handling and Risk Assessments
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Home Adaptations
  • Care Home Equipment Audits

I have undertaken expert witness training and understand my responsibilities under The Civil Procedure Rules pertaining to expert witnesses and Part 35.

Report writing has been a key component throughout my career. I regularly undertake appropriate training to ensure that my skills and knowledge are current, and to maintain my professional development
