Since 2014 I have worked as a Senior Trainer delivering health and social care specialist training across the UK to healthcare professionals and other trainers. Immediately prior to this I worked for four years in a Community Mental Health and Crisis Team providing clients with severe and enduring mental illness a safe, person-centered, secure environment where they could receive the appropriate care and treatment required to manage their complex and long-term needs at home. I was responsible for assessing client care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of care. I worked closely with mental health service-users in a multi-disciplinary team (psychiatrists. psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, social support, and other agencies) and involved in the provision of a structured substance misuse service in a community-based environment. Management responsibilities included assisting in the supervision and development of health care assistants. My experience included attending police stations and other premises for the purposes of Mental Health Act assessments.

I was a Senior Nurse for 10 years working part time in a specialist 16-bed unit for alcohol, substance misuse, and eating disorders. I had responsibility for the clinical co-ordination of individual and group therapies and formulation of appropriate care plans and delivery of care co-ordination.

I worked for British Airways from 1989 until 2014, both full and then part time as cabin crew, cabin crew management- and was seconded to deliver Aviation Medicine and Safety and Equipment Training to Pilots and Cabin Crew. I was able to effectively maintain my clinical skills in combination with my flying duties and on numerous occasions have dealt with medical emergencies both on the ground and at altitude.

I understand my responsibilities under the Civil Procedure Rules pertaining to expert witnesses.

I attend regular training updates and seminars in order to maintain my professional development and specialist interests
