I am a qualified Oncology Nurse with over 17 years of experience in both operational nursing and management.  

For four years I cared for Oncology/Haematology children in an outpatient and inpatient setting. The knowledge I have gained during my professional life has given me the experience to be able to care for children and their families, and to ensure their needs are met.

More recently my career has been focussed on adult Oncology between day unit and inpatient ward.

Throughout my role as a Ward Manager within the private sector, I have ensured that all compliance requirements are up to date, that staff provide the best evidence-based skills and information, and that all legal requirements are fulfilled.

In addition to practical experience, I have responsibility for making sure that long stay patients in the hospital setting are managed and cared for in the correct area, ensuring that all necessary documentation and reports are provided as per CQC and NMC requirements.
