We welcome applications from both experienced clinicians currently providing expert reports and also those making their first steps into expert work. We are seeking experienced practitioners from the following professions preferably with a minimum of 10 years post-qualification clinical experience:
  • Occupational therapy
  • Nursing
  • Speech and language therapy
We would be very interested to hear from experts with experience in the following clinical settings:
  • Registered General Nurse
  • Prison nurses
  • Paediatric occupational therapy
  • Tissue Viability Nurse
  • Stoma Nursing
You would work on a self-employed basis.

For experts reporting on breach of duty cases, the work will involve reviewing documents and writing a comprehensive report providing opinion on the standard of care/practice in each case.

Experts reporting on quantum would usually visit the client at home and undertake a thorough assessment, review medical and non-medical evidence, and write a comprehensive report detailing condition, past and future needs and recommendations for the client with costs thereof.

Casework will also involve attending conferences with solicitors and barristers, either in person or on the telephone, responding to queries raised, commenting on additional documents provided by the lawyers, joint discussions with other experts and preparing statements, and court attendance.
