I am an experienced Social Worker and former Registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities) with over 36 years of experience working across health and social care.

During my long career I have assessed and arranged significant amounts of care and support for people with a vast variety of health and social care needs from those needing a few hours of support a week, to those requiring 2 carers around the clock.

I am passionate about person centred support which means I ensure quality of life issues are addressed alongside health needs to promote quality care and support.

My roles have involved directly recruiting staff and providing ongoing line management; dealing with employee relations issues; and ensuring the on-going development of teams.

I have also managed a team of registered managers and had responsibilities for ensuring compliance with inspection requirements such as CQC.

More recently, I have been working as a Case Manager and gained valuable experience of the litigation process, with some complex clients which has enabled me to utilise my varied skills and experiences.
