Profile

I have worked in the field of neurological care, primarily spinal cord injuries, as a Nurse, Case Manager, Lecturer and Care Expert since 1993. I advocate at all times, choice, independence and a multi disciplinary approach to meeting the challenges faced by individuals living with a complex neurological condition. I have worked in a senior position in both the independent and statutory sectors and have worked on a consultancy basis for a national charity.

2006-2021 – Total Community Care Limited

I was the Operational/Clinical Director and co-founder of Total Community Care, established in 2006. We provided bespoke care packages to individuals with complex neurological care needs, primarily spinal cord injury. I exited the business after its sale to City & County in September 2021.

At the point of sale we had 74 clients nationwide and employed over 450 staff.  I was responsible for the day to day running of the organisation including compliance, quality assurance and supervision of the management team.
