• I am a qualified chartered physiotherapist with 20 years post qualification experience currently working within the private sector and previously for the NHS.
• I specialise in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation. I am currently working as a senior lead physiotherapist in a large private hospital where I have worked for over 17 years.
• I have also provided a successful physiotherapy service through my own private practice for 20 years.

I provide comprehensive functional assessments and treatment of individuals with orthopaedic and complex medical conditions within the hospital setting. This includes environmental assessments and advice on appropriate equipment and / or home modifications to enable individuals to optimise their rehabilitation and functional outcomes.

I work closely with the multidisciplinary team for both inpatient and day patient care to create a holistic approach to patient care and aid safe, efficient discharge from hospital. I supervise junior staff and allied healthcare assistants.

My immediate post qualification experience included rotational physiotherapy roles covering   musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, care of the elderly, medical, respiratory, acute neurology, surgical / ITU.

In my private practice I provide assessments, treatment and rehabilitation planning for a wide range of musculoskeletal and post-surgical patients. This involves independent and team working with gym staff.

In addition to my clinical role I provide expert witness reports for the court on physiotherapy treatment, equipment and costing.

I regularly undertake appropriate training to ensure that my skills and knowledge are current, and to maintain my professional development. I understand my responsibilities as an expert witness and Part 35 of the Civil Procedure rules. I have undertaken training on the role of an expert witness.
