Profile
I have over thirty years’ experience working as a qualified Occupational Therapist in the UK and USA. For over fifteen years I have combined practice in the NHS and private sector with Case Management, Occupational Therapy and Expert Witness work. I am a trained Functional Capacity Evaluator and have experience in Vocational Rehabilitation assessment and evaluation.
I have a special interest in neurology, amputees and complex multi-trauma. I have held several senior and managerial positions overseeing therapeutic delivery to patients within various settings in both statutory and private sector departments focussing on rehabilitation, functional recovery, equipment needs, home adaptation and return to work.
I can prepare compliant Expert Witness Occupational Therapy reports and combined Care and OT reports for the court (single and joint instruction). Predominantly in adult expert witness work for civil law claimants with brain injury, neurological impairments, amputees, hand injuries, visual impairment, chronic pain, and complex trauma.
I have some experience in family court expert witness reports.
I am aware of my responsibilities under the Civil Procedure Rules pertaining to expert witnesses. I have undertaken training for expert witnesses and continue my professional development through attending regular conferences and workshops targeted to those working in the field of medical litigation.
