Donna offers over 29 years of qualified, registered general nursing and children’s nursing experience, in clinical and community settings, with 8 years of medico-legal case management experience. Her vast clinical experience enables Donna to take on a wide variety of cases from birth to the elderly.Specialisms include neonatal birth injury, acquired traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, orthopaedic polytrauma and spinal cord injury, behaviour management and mental health conditions associated with brain injury.

Donna is adept at developing and overseeing complex care packages via care agencies and directly employed provisions, completing care plans, and supervision, to ensure the highest quality of care for her clients. Donna works collaboratively with professionals and has built up a robust network of leading service providers. Donna travels up 2 hours outside of the M25 and works within the M25, and therefore, she is aware of the different payrates for care in London, South east, East and up to the Midlands. Donna works in partnership with claimant representatives and insurers to ensure that the injured party makes the best and quickest recovery, within the limitations of their injury and/or diagnosis, whilst working within the guidelines of the 2015 Rehabilitation Code.

• As a Community Childrens nurse, I set up care packages for children with tracheostomies and employed directly carers.
• In the CCN team and Allied Healthcare, I set up and trained carers in all clinical needs for children with complex needs, who required 24 hour care – tracheostomies, Cerebral palsy, Apnoea, spina bifida, Epidermolysis Bullosa (For 17 years)
• As a Case Manager (nearly 8 years), I have set up and managed many care packages with directly employed staff or agency staff. Often mixing the two for contingency cover (Nearly 8 years)
• I have dealt with many safeguarding issues, incidents and accidents within the home and have had to conduct disciplinary meetings with carers.
• I am experienced in sourcing external training providers.
• Very experienced in setting up the recruitment and onboarding process, from adverts- interviewing-offer letters-onboarding-training-rotas-coordinating the care and overseeing the package.
