Profile

Fiona is an occupational therapist with over 14 years of experience working with both children and adults with complex disabilities, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia, palliative care, Parkinson’s Disease, spinal injuries, amputees, Motor Neurone Disease, and general medical conditions.  She maintains her clinical experience working as a Case Manager/Occupational Therapist.

 

Fiona has extensive experience in completing home assessments, evaluating care needs, planning interventions, and producing and reviewing care plans   Her various roles have all involved assessments of activities of daily living, cognition, upper limb function and functional mobility.  She has experience of working with clients in various stages of recovery and rehabilitation in a variety of settings.

 

Fiona has a particular interest in major adaptations, assistive equipment and moving and handling solutions.  She is a ROSPA Level 4 qualified manual handling instructor and risk assessor.

 

Fiona is continuously developing as a professional, she attends regular clinical professional development opportunities and dedicates time to research and developing her skills relating to healthcare, best practice, and interventions.

 

Fiona has undergone training in the medico legal process and is fully aware of her responsibilities under the Civil Procedure Rules pertaining to expert witnesses.
