Profile

A highly experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in outcome focused goal driven adult neurological rehabilitation, including acquired and traumatic brain injury and progressive neurological conditions. In 2014 I received the Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust staff award for direct patient care.

Since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist in 2004 I have specialised in neurological rehabilitation since 2008, working with a wide range of neurological conditions including brain injury, stroke and trauma.

I am also a Best InterestAssessor, providing Capacity and Best Interest Assessments under the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.

I have recently studied for an MSc in Neurological Rehabilitation, which has made me question practices and look in detail at current evidence in treatments to ensure I continues to offer care and treatment to the highest standard.

I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council and am a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists and Royal College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Section in Neurological Practice, Vocational Rehabilitation and Independent Practice.
