Profile

I am a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with seventeen years of post-qualification experience across a diverse range of healthcare environments.

Currently, I serve as a senior practice nurse, aesthetic nurse, care expert, and non-medical prescriber, with specialist interests in weight management, sexual health, vaccinations, infection control, and the management of long-term conditions.

In addition to my primary nursing roles, I have worked as a Clinical Medical Examiner Officer. In this capacity, I acted as a liaison between families and clinicians to address concerns regarding patient deaths. My responsibilities included reviewing and medical records to gather accurate information for medical examiners, assisting in the identification of cases requiring review by clinical teams, and referring appropriate cases to the coroner.

Previously, as a community midwife, I was committed to delivering safe and effective care for pregnant women and their babies which has fostered an ongoing passion for women’s health and screening.

My earlier experience as a community staff nurse involved managing a caseload of mainly housebound patients, with duties such as wound care, catheter and continence management, leg ulcer assessment, pressure area care, and end-of-life care. I also have experience in intensive care, where I managed ventilated patients with complex critical care needs.

Furthermore, I work as a case manager, coordinating care for individuals with complex needs. This involves comprehensive assessment, multi-agency collaboration, and ensuring that each person receives tailored support to achieve the best possible outcomes.

As a care expert who has undertaken additional medico-legal training, I am able to provide impartial assessments and detailed reports for the Court, drawing upon my extensive clinical background to support evidence-based conclusions.
