Profile

With 13 years’ of extensive experience in the healthcare sector, I am a highly skilled Occupational Therapist specialising in neurological rehabilitation, in particular stroke, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury.

My expertise extends beyond neurological conditions to encompass frailty, rapid response, amputees, orthopaedics, polytrauma, complex hospital discharge, and assessment of care and equipment needs.

Currently serving as a Patient Flow and Discharge Lead at a distinguished private neurorehabilitation centre, I aim for excellence in patient-centred care and interdisciplinary collaboration. I have gained leadership skills and an ability to oversee the processes and person’s needs as a whole.

With comprehensive knowledge of both statutory and private services, I am adept at working with and providing knowledge of services available.

As a clinical case manager I have gained experience of a person’s journey beyond hospital. I am gained further experience in creating cohesive teams which include both clinical and non-clinical team members. I have enhanced my report writing and knowledge of the litigation process. I am a member of BABICM and CMSUK.

My passion has always been occupational therapy. It has been a fulfilling career where I feel I can make a difference to a person’s life and establish meaningful goals after a lifechanging event. It has allowed me to understand who a person is; the impact of their physical, social, socio-economic and institutional environments; and their roles and occupations.
