Profile

I completed my training in New Zealand in 1990 and my 34 years of nursing experience has taken me through general medical and surgical practice in Australia and ICU in Auckland and then to London where I have gained the majority of my ICU experience, mainly in Adult Cardio – Respiratory.

I have also worked in Paediatric ICU and have many years’ experience nursing patients with congenital abnormalities and inherited cardiac conditions, many of whom were on long and short term ventilatory care.

Since 2006, in addition to working in ICU, I have worked in medical assistance for clients who have activated their medical travel insurance.  My job is to ensure that clients receive adequate medical care, are given appropriate repatriation arrangements worldwide and I also perform the aeromedical repatriations myself.

I continue to work in paediatric and adult neuro ICU in a large London teaching hospital to maintain my clinical expertise and I remain updated with clinical and in-flight medical training.

I understand the litigation process and my duties under the Civil Procedure Rules pertaining to expert witnesses and Part 35. Fundamental to my work as an expert witness is to consistently act with fairness and integrity, utilising my advanced skill set and building upon my philosophy of delivering a high standard of safe, equitable and effective care for all.
