Profile

I am a committed and hardworking Registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities) with significant management and clinical experience. I have experience in Learning Disabilities, Older People services, Brain Injury, Secure Services, Mental Health and Dementia Care.

I am an Expert Witness for solicitors, providing reports and expert opinion on liability and duty of care breaches including allegations of negligence across the care sector. A large proportion of my work is older people and learning disability services and I am called for to provide my expertise in both the prosecution and defence.

I have extensive experience in Senior leadership roles across Health and Social care services with strengths in older people’s services and Learning Disabilities. I have also previously managed services so have a deep understanding of the challenges, and responsibilities for a Registered Manager.

I have a specific interest in Autism and offending and had some work published on this in the Learning Disability Practice.

I maintain my professional development to ensure I maintain the skills and knowledge to remain a Registered Nurse with an active PIN. I am also undertaking my CIPD qualification to broaden my knowledge on employee matters related to the health and care sector.
