With over 17 years nursing experience, Lena is a professional and proficient nurse consultant, clinical director of complex care provision and expert witness.

Lena has worked in both NHS and the private sector gaining comprehensive experience and knowledge in spinal cord injury, brain injury, palliative care and mental health. Lena recently returned to the acute setting to support Southmead Hospital ITU during the first wave of Covid-19. Lena is proficient in supporting clients with multiple complex needs, including ventilation.

In her role as an expert witness, Lena has prepared reports for the court covering specialist nursing needs, complex care provision, aids and equipment, as necessary. Lena has experience of attending expert meetings and pre-trial conferences. Lena is currently working towards the Cardiff University Bond Solon Civil Expert Certificate.

As a clinical director of a complex care provision, Lena specialises in finding the appropriate care solutions for her clients, working within the multidisciplinary team, to offer her clients optimal independence.

Since qualifying as a nurse, Lena has worked in a variety of roles in hospitals and the community. Lena has a specialist nurse qualification in End-of-Life Care and has recently completed master’s level training as an advanced practitioner gaining her independent non-medical prescribing qualification.
