Profile

Nikki qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2000 from Oxford Brookes University and is an Advanced Practitioner Registered Case Manager who works with adults and children with complex injuries and multiple needs in both of these roles. Nikki worked and developed services within acute, rehabilitation and community settings with the NHS, Local Authorities, Insurance Services and privately. Nikki has practiced privately since 2007 and worked in case management and vocational rehabilitation initially in Australia for four years and then in the UK in case management and occupational therapy. Nikki has experience as an Expert OT which compliments her case management role and knowledge of the litigation process and roles.

Nikki worked with a Local Authority Adult Social Care team, working with clients with complex needs whilst taking the lead for seating and posture, safeguarding, and advanced and complex moving and handling for clients. Nikki was the lead for training for the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists for both Adult Social Care and Health and was a practice supervisor contributing to service development and team management. Nikki combined this role with Independent Occupational Therapy, and Expert OT for some years, which continued as she commenced her career in case management working with adults and paediatric clients with catastrophic and life changing injuries. Nikki has extensive experience working with clients who present with complex care, case management and therapy requirements, and with families and multi-disciplinary and specialist teams.

Nikki is skilled at coordinating care, support and rehabilitation for her clients. She has full understanding of the litigation needs in relation to both personal injury and medical negligence claims.

Nikki is adept at multi-agency working and provides an efficient and timely case management service and is competent and skilled working with clients with capacity and best interest requirements, Court of Protection proceedings and challenging family and social dynamics. She can adapt her approach to individuals to gain both their respect and trust.

Nikki has worked in a senior capacity within case management for over 12 years, managing her own caseload whilst developing and mentoring other case managers, and developing and leading our case management team. Nikki is passionate and committed to high quality, independent case management for every client.
