I am an adult registered nurse, Queens nurse and non-medical prescriber. I have 13 years’ experience post registration, with 7 years in prison healthcare and 11 years in medical aesthetics.

Currently I work as a homeless nurse practitioner and run my own aesthetics clinic. Within my current role I liaise with prisons regarding patients discharged homeless patients. I am a non-medical prescriber in this role. I have held the positions of a Clinical Healthcare Manager, Senior Nurse all within prison primary care incuding a prison substance misuse Nurse and have worked in category C, D and B remand prisons.

I was the nurse expert for the first NICE prison guidance ‘physical health of people in prison’ NICE GUIDANCE 2016 NG57 (former surname Turner) and was awarded a Nursing Times respiratory award for setting up a project (pulmonary rehabilitation) within prison respiratory nursing and awarded Queens Nurse title for this.

I have also previously been an RCN committee member for the nursing criminal justice group when working with HMP. This role was to advise members, attend congress, manage social media, attend meetings and support others within nursing prisons.

In my aesthetic practice I undertake antiwrinkle treatments, dermal fillers and am able to prescribe the components needed.
