Profile

Registered Nurse with over 15 years' post-registration experience working as an Expert Witness and Rehabilitation Case Manager. I specialise in catastrophic injury, brain injury and complex orthopaedic trauma, providing expert opinion in liability matters.

My clinical background spans intensive care, emergency medicine, surgical, medical and community settings across the NHS, private healthcare and corporate sectors. This breadth of experience provides a comprehensive understanding of complex injury, rehabilitation, functional impairment and long-term care, underpinning balanced and well-reasoned medico-legal opinion.

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and prepare reports in accordance with Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules and the associated Practice Direction. My work involves the detailed analysis of medical records, witness statements and other evidential documentation to provide independent opinion based upon the available evidence. I recognise that my overriding duty is to the Court.

Alongside my expert witness work, I continue to work as a Rehabilitation Case Manager, coordinating rehabilitation for individuals with complex injuries. Maintaining an active clinical role ensures my knowledge remains current in clinical settings, rehabilitation practice, multidisciplinary working and the practical impact of injury on function and daily living.

Previously, I held leadership and operational management roles across both healthcare and corporate settings. This included roles as a Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Functional Assessor for the Department for Work and Pensions, where I developed expertise in functional assessment, critical analysis and structured report writing. During theCOVID-19 pandemic, I led the operational delivery of PPE logistics to NHS hospitals and managed the establishment of the first COVID-19 testing centres across the West Midlands.

My expert witness work is supported by specialist training through Bond Solon and ongoing continuing professional development, ensuring my practice remains aligned with current professional, procedural and medico-legal standards. My continuing professional development includes training provided by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
